{"id":2054,"date":"2014-11-19T20:10:49","date_gmt":"2014-11-19T20:10:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/alt2.minisoft.com\/support\/?p=2054"},"modified":"2014-11-19T20:10:49","modified_gmt":"2014-11-19T20:10:49","slug":"file-transfer-errors","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/c002.minisoft.com\/support\/file-transfer-errors\/","title":{"rendered":"File Transfer Errors"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;Host file transfer program is out of date&#8221; usually means that the HP3000\u00a0cannot find\/load\/execute the host file transfer program.<\/p>\n<p>Do the following step by step:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>When a user sees the message &#8220;Host file transfer program is out of date&#8221;, ask them to type LISTREDO at the prompt immediately after dismissing the dialog box.\u00a0 They should see RUN WS92LINK.PUB.SYS as a prior command.\n<ol>\n<li>If the RUN WS92LINK command is not seen, then verify the configuration settings for file transfer are set to the defaults.\u00a0 Repeat the file transfer steps.<\/li>\n<li>If LISTREDO does not work or the WS92LINK run command does not appear after correcting and configuration problems, verify the run programs and commands capability of the user.<\/li>\n<li>If they see the RUN WS92LINK command , type in the command<br \/>\n<b>:DO #<br \/>\n<\/b>where # is the line number they see the RUN WS92LINK command on. This should generate the message:<br \/>\n&#8220;MiniSoft and IX\/92 File Transfer Host Program: Build\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 4&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>Verify that the Host Program does exist (with NMPRG file code) by doing<br \/>\n<b>:LISTF WS92LINK.PUB.SYS,2<\/b><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>If it does not exist:\n<ul>\n<li>Use MiniSoft 92 for Windows to log on to the HP3000 as MANAGER.SYS in the PUB group (:HELLO MANAGER.SYS,PUB)<\/li>\n<li>In the Config\/File Transfer menu, set the Host Program Name toWS92LINK.PUB.SYS.<\/li>\n<li>Execute Upload Host Program<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>If the host program file does exist, then the reason for the error message may be due to the networking protocol which has to be NS\/VT (see: Config \/Comms + Network).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>If another error message is seen, report the exact message to your system administrator or Minisoft.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;Host file transfer program is out of date&#8221; usually means that the HP3000\u00a0cannot find\/load\/execute the host file transfer program.
