{"id":3957,"date":"2016-02-16T18:48:02","date_gmt":"2016-02-16T18:48:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/alt2.minisoft.com\/support\/?p=3957"},"modified":"2022-08-30T12:12:20","modified_gmt":"2022-08-30T19:12:20","slug":"troubleshooting-breaking-up-a-large-pdf-of-multiple-documents","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/c002.minisoft.com\/support\/troubleshooting-breaking-up-a-large-pdf-of-multiple-documents\/","title":{"rendered":"Break Up a Large PDF of Multiple Documents"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Problem:\u00a0<\/strong>You want to create multiple PDF files (such as invoices for customers), but you get one large PDF file with all the invoices, POs, or another\u00a0document type your project creates.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Solution:\u00a0<\/strong>To break PDF output into numerous files, you must specify a sort variable and define a sort group as described in the following procedures.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Specify a sort variable<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Start the eFORMz Composer and open your project.<\/li>\n<li>Click the eDIRECT tab at the bottom of the Project window.<\/li>\n<li>Right click Content: (PDF) &gt; Edit &gt; File.<\/li>\n<li>Make certain that you have the variable used for the file name that is unique for each document. Do not check Create unique file name; your unique variable already ensures that the file name is unique.
