In this example, you want to store purchase orders (POs) in a different directory for each vendor ID. The set up is in two parts: Defining the variable that includes the output path\u00a0and setting up the output.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Define\u00a0the variable<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In the eFORMz Composer, define a variable that includes the relative or absolute path and file name for the PDF file.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Create the variables you need to create the PDF path and file name. This example uses the variables VendorNumber and PONumber, which are created from the data file.<\/li>\n<li>Create the variable that contains the path and file name by right clicking the form &gt; Add variable &gt; By position.<\/li>\n<li>Name the variable POFilename and click OK.<\/li>\n<li>Right click the variable POFilename &gt; Add function &gt; Set Value to specify a value. For example, you can use the Set Value and Concatenate functions to set the variable to have the following values. Two slashes are used so the program knows it is a literal value. The following image of the Variables window shows the variables involved in the operation:<img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-4042 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/alt2.minisoft.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/PathB-300x78.jpg\" alt=\"PathB\" width=\"300\" height=\"78\" srcset=\"https:\/\/c002.minisoft.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/PathB-300x78.jpg 300w, https:\/\/c002.minisoft.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/PathB-150x39.jpg 150w, https:\/\/c002.minisoft.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/PathB-250x65.jpg 250w, https:\/\/c002.minisoft.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/PathB.jpg 445w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Set up the output<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Open your project in the eFORMz Composer.<\/li>\n<li>Click the eDIRECT (or eDIRECT PLUS) tab at the bottom of the Project window.<\/li>\n<li>Right click in the Project window &gt; Add Output &gt; Print.<\/li>\n<li>Right click Print &gt; Add job &gt; To File.<\/li>\n<li>Select PDF and click the File tab.<\/li>\n<li>Click Variable and select the variable POFilename\u00a0that includes the file name and path.<\/li>\n<li>Click Use default extention. Add additional forms if your PDF is composed of multiple forms.<\/li>\n<li>Save your changes.<\/li>\n<li>Test your output by clicking Run &gt; Process with eDIRECT (or eDIRECT PLUS).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Deactive the standard subdirectories file path<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Select Add Output Process &gt; Process w\/eDirectPlus.
