Guide to Rotate Text through a new variable:<\/p>\n

Text that is in a Document Template cannot be rotated. However, you can rotate\u00a0document output from another project. We will not <\/strong>discuss how to use output from another project, but will discuss how to rotate text by adding a new variable.<\/p>\n

  1. Start by adding a \u201cPage\u201d, and inside of the \u201cPage\u201d add a \u201cForm\u201d, and inside of the \u201cForm\u201d add a \u201cVariable\u201d by position.<\/li>\n
  2. Name the variable Ex. \u201cImportantMsgBody1\u201d.<\/li>\n
  3. \"\"<\/a><\/li>\n
  4. Insert constant string into it ex. \u201cHere is where I can put my string\u201d.<\/li>\n
  5. \"\"<\/li>\n
  6. \"\"<\/li>\n
  7. Create a \u201cRule\u201d by right clicking on the \u201cForm\u201d and selecting \u201cAdd Rule\u2026\/Place Text\u201d. \u201cPlace text\u201d is the action with the variable you just created that contains the text, \u201cImportantMsgBody1\u201d.<\/li>\n

  9. Clicking OK in the rule properties will bring you to the \u201cPlace Text Action\u201d page. To use the text as you would in a paragraph format modify \u201cWordwrap\u201d for \u201cLine Width and Spacing\u201d ex. Line Width of 400.0 and Line Spacing of 15.0.<\/li>\n

  12. You should be able to see your text in your output window, but it isn\u2019t rotated.<\/li>\n

  14. Go back into the \u201cPlace Text Action Settings\u201d and select Rotation and click on your desired rotation.<\/li>\n
