You might also receive one of the following errors:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>&#8220;1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion.&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;The eFORMz ServiceManger 64 service on <em>hostname<\/em> started and then stopped. Some services stop automatically if they are not in use by other services or programs.&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Solution:<\/strong> Try the following steps to fix these problems.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ol>\n<li>If the service is stuck in Starting state, you must get the eFORMz service out of Starting state by following the procedure at <a href=\"\/support\/index.php\/how-to-kill-a-windows-service-stuck-on-stopping-or-starting\/\">How to Kill a Service Stuck on Stopping or Starting<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Restart the Print Spooler service, and then try restarting the eFORMz service. If it gets stuck starting, kill the service.<\/li>\n<li>If you have a 64-bit system, and you installed the 64-bit service, eFORMz might be trying to use a 32-bit version of Java on your system. Or if your system has a Java version earlier than Java 8, eFORMz cannot find all the resources that it requires. To use the 64-bit version of Java 8 to fix these problems, update jsl_ServiceManager_64.ini to use the 64-bit, Java 8 JRE that comes with eFORMz:\n<ol style=\"list-style: upper-alpha;\">\n<li>Edit jsl_ServiceManager_64.ini (typically located at C:\/Minisoft\/eFORMz_6)<\/li>\n<li>Find the following line:\u00a0 \u00a0&#8220;;jrepath=c:\/minisoft\/eformz_6&#8221;\n<ol>\n<li>\u00a0If it is not present, add it (without the semicolon)<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0If it is present, remove the semicolon (if present) to uncomment the statement<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>Save and close the file.<\/li>\n<li>In a Command Prompt window, run the following command from C:\\Minisoft\\eFORMz_6 to pick up the change:\n<pre>jsl_64.exe -configure jsl_ServiceManager_64.ini<\/pre>\n<\/li>\n<li>Start the eFORMz service<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>If you follow these steps and resolve the issue, please contact Minisoft Support at support@minisoft.com to help us track this issue.
